Dance and Movement with Ellen Davis

Ballet

Ellen uses the teaching of dance as a way of evoking self-acceptance, beauty, balance, grace, a sense of unity, and love for the process of learning.  She aknowledges and nurtures the "dancer within" in all of her students, regardless of age, body-type, limited self-belief or level of training.

She believes that along with proper placement and technique, the awakening of expressive truth, musicality and one's innate creative intelligence are equally important in empowering dancers in their ability to use the body as a means of creative self-expression and to extend the grace of dance to all of life.

Ellen is available to teach all levels of ballet for children and adults; privates, semi-privates and group classes.   A new beginning adult ballet class as well as beginning pointe (for qualified students) will start soon.

Body Holotropics

Moving meditations, free form expressive dance, spirit embodied movement coaching, and directed improvisations designed for participants to experience wholeness, balance, expansiveness, freedom, unity and one's innate creative intelligence while empowering their ability to use the body as a means for creative self-expression and extending the grace of dance to all of life.

The emphasis is on freeing up the energy in the body so that the body becomes an open channel for creative self-expression and healing.

Learn to listen to the wisdom of your movements and see where thoughts, emotions and beliefs are held within the body.

Explore the connection between a flexible body and a flexible conscious-ness.

Explore the connection between how you approach your experience in the workshop and in your life.

Experience the transformative force of deepening into presence and embodying emergence.

We will work with music, silence, the drum, our heart beats and with our own sounds.
