Background and Approach Mediator,
counselor, writer, group facilitator, business owner/director and
teacher for over 40 years in private
schools and universities, I have worked in varied cultures and
emotional settings with a wide variety of individuals
including professionals, "high risk" teenagers and the handicapped.
I was formerly on ADR Panel of the LA Superior Court, mediating litigated civil cases.
Depending
on what feels called for, I utilize the Transformative,
Facilitative
and Evaluative
approaches
to mediation.
My approach creates a positive and collaborative environment
suited to yield deeper understandings
and thus actualize creative, win-win agreements.
The
awareness of the heart can hold two sides of a conflict and see the
truth within both.

Through
this process, if one wishes, the opportunity is there, not to just
quell the symptoms of one's conflicts and disputes
but to see and transform the causes of them.

beyond all ideas of rightdoing and wrongdoing, there is a field. I'll
meet you there." -Rumi
